Award Categories
Judging for all 9 award categories is extremely thorough and will be carried out by our business experts judging panel following the closing date.

NOMINATIONS HAVE NOW CLOSED. DETAILS OF FINALISTS WILL BE ANNOUNCED ON WEBSITE BY 9TH MAY 2008.

All award finalists will be posted onto the website by Friday 9th May 2008.

All awards will be presented at the Awards Ceremony & Dinner at the Hilton Hotel, Glasgow on Thursday 22nd May 2008.

Entry Criteria
Please enter your nominations for any or all of the following award categories. Your online nomination should be kept simple (no more than 500 words), as on submission the nominee will be contacted by the University of Glasgow Business School for further information to assist the judging panel.

You will need to complete a separate nomination for each category you wish to nominate.

The 9 award categories are:
Best Large Firm - Accountancy firms with over 100 partners and staff. Nominations should consider leadership, growth, innovation, client service and CSR.
Best Medium Firm - Accountancy firms with 30 – 100 partners and staff. Nominations should consider leadership, growth, innovation, client service and CSR.
Best Small Firm - Accountancy firms with under 30 partners and staff. Nominations should consider leadership, growth, innovation, client service and CSR.
Fastest Growing Firm - This will be judged on fee income, number of staff increase and size of client base.
Team to Watch - A team which has made an outstanding difference, a major impact for clients and increased growth.
Accountant of the Year - Accountants which have demonstrated leadership, contributed to strong growth, presented innovative solutions, and demonstrated good client service. Have entrepreneurial flair and are good team players.
Tax Adviser of the Year - This award can be for an individual or a team. They must be client focussed and be able to present good results for their clients. Innovative solutions must also be considered.
Finance Team of the Year - This is an industry wide category. The team must have a major impact on an organisation – may be involved in share/rights issues, process reviews, contract tendering etc. Demonstrate how they have contributed to the companies growth and how the team integrates across the organisation.
Finance Director of the Year - An FD who demonstrates leadership, is an integral part of the company and plays a major role in its development. Nominations for this category will come from the company’s board members/chief executives, accountants, lawyers or even shareholders.

Shortlisted nominations will be posted onto the website by Friday 9th May 2008.


Winners

Details of the 2008 Scottish Accountancy Award winners will be posted onto the site on Friday 23rd May 2008. A photo gallery will also be available.
